Ok, here's a bit about me and how I got into PSP!!
My name is Michelle but for as long as I can remember people have called me Shell!
I'm 28 and
originally from Derbyshire, which is in the Midlands, UK. I moved
to Lincoln in January 2004 to live with my fiancÚ, Ant and two of his six children,
Jervais (17) and Jerome (16). I'm a full time mum. My gorgeous 5 year old
son, Aiden is the light of my life *smiles*
Ant and I got married on April 30th 2005 and I just love being Mrs A :o)
I have lot's of hobbies....card making, cross stitch, drawing and reading to name but a few but my main hobby is PSP. I first learnt about PSP when I joined an MSN parenting group called PANS.
The manager of the group made me a wonderful doll signature and I loved it. I'd never seen anything like it before and wanted to learn how to make them. I started off by doing a search for doll sites. When I found one, I got hooked on dolls!! I made hundreds! My next goal was to learn how to add text because I didn't have a clue how to do it, in fact, at that point I didn't even know what program she had used to add the text. A few weeks later I saw a post from her saying she used PSP.
heard of it before!
I did a search on Google, found the Jasc Software site and downloaded the free trial. I was so excited! The excitement didn't last long though unfortunately..... I had no idea how to use the program and spent the next few weeks getting more and more frustrated.
My brother brought me PSP for Christmas and I figured it was time I learnt how to use it properly! Another search on the net took me to an MSN group called Robbie's Creative Retreat. I joined the group because they ran a course called Back To Basics. It was exactly what I was looking for. After all the weeks of trying and getting nowhere I did the Back To Basics and everything just seemed to fall into place. Finally I could use PSP!! What surprised me most though was the speed with which I learnt how to use it. Once you know the basics it's really easy! :o)
After about a month of my joining Robbie's, the manager asked me to be an assistant. The group was growing rapidly and she needed more help. I was delighted but also a little worried! I couldn't believe that after such a short time I was going to be helping other people learn how to use PSP!
Not long after being made an assistant manager, Robbie asked me if I'd become joint manager with her and Lyn. I was so happy I thought I was going to burst!!
Robbie's Creative Retreat and Robbie's 2 sadly closed in June 2004. I opened another group at the request of the members who all felt like Robbie's had become home to them and wanted to stay together. With the help of a wonderful management team, we're now following in Robbie's footsteps, the group is doing great and although it's not Robbie's Creative Retreat, it's home :o)
I really enjoyed writing tutorials and making web sets for Robbie's so with support and encouragement from Ant I decided I'd like to have a go at designing my own site.....and voila, here it is!!!
Well, I think that's enough from me!
Thank you for visiting my site. I hope you enjoy your stay
Love and hugs
